Accident in our marina

There’s been a lot of drama in our marina today. Yesterday a 35 metre motor boat lost the ability to manoeuvre as they were coming into the marina and ended up on the beach!

Today there was the coastguard, lots of police, and other officials around the boat as they attempted to tug it off the beach.

It was quite dramatic when the steel wire cable snapped and splashed back into the water leaving the tug boat to lurch forward.

At this stage my humans and I left because we’d already spent a good hour with the rest of the marina staff and residents watching the show. I’m pleased to say that they have since successfully moved the boat and nobody was hurt.

I hope you all have a pawesome weekend!

Bisous, Bailey

  5. Gosh, Bailey, We are glad everyone is safe! Seems to us if you want to have a big boat, you should be able to pilot it safely or leave it for others to do so!! Pat

  7. Too much Excitement! Dad’s Brother is a Marine Surveyor and he took dad with him once to get a 75′ shrimp boat off of the beach in St. Augustine. They had to wait for for the highest tide and use two tugs

What excitement to have happen, thank Bastet all ended well and no one was hurt. You need never worry about the Nocturne getting beached with Admiral Bailey in charge of it!

  12. We lost one of our engines when entering the marina and it was very difficult to maneuvre our way around. There was a slight breeze that hung us up against the breakwater logs for a few minutes and I though that would be a great place to jump off the boat and chase a seagull that was standing there. Of course the seagull flew away when my human mom jumped off too to get me back. No time for cameras as it all happened so fast. Luckily human dad got the boat under control well enough and we made it into our slip without further incident, or accident! =^,,^=
