We made it to Greece!

After a very long three days and two nights at sea we’ve finally made it safely to Greece! The wind and swell weren’t in our favour and we decided we didn’t want to beat into it for days, so we’ve ended up a lot further south than we intended, on the island of Kefalonia.

It’s absolutely beautiful and we’re tied up to a wall for the princely sum of 5 euros a day. We can see a huge difference to Italy already!

I’ve just sent my humans out for something to eat and I’m off to get a really well deserved cat nap!

I’ll tell you all the details about our crossing tomorrow once I’ve had a rest.

Wishing you all a pawesome weekend!

Bisous, Bailey

  7. Three days and 2 nights…I hope your sea legs held up that long! Mine managed it better for 6 or 7 hours at a time after the first day but that would be a stretch for all of us! We’re anchored in a place called Squirrel Cove right now. A bit overcast but warm. Still have another week or so left in on our holiday sea-cruise. Looking forward to reading more about yours. =^,,^=

  15. Greece! Such a beautiful place. I’m a Meeser Mommy, and also a Greek historian. I hope you can also visit Ithaki (Ithaka), home of Odysseus, another traveler by boat like you, Bailey. Odysseus didn’t have a cat, but he did have a very loyal dog named Argos. In modern Greek, the word for cat is gata (very like Italian gatto), but the ancient Greek word was galae (which was the same word for weasel). Today, gala = milk. 🙂 So as a gata you might like some gala!

If you are going to do the islands, I hope you get to visit both Naxos and Santorini, and Crete, too. They are all beautiful islands.
