Evolution

I’ve spent a long time pondering evolution today. My humans were in the water most of the day and I was almost expecting them to swim back to the boat with gills!

Pondering in Ponza

They picked up their snorkelling gear and I watched them swim out to the big rocks sticking up. Apparently there were some beautiful rainbow coloured fish there, so I’ve instructed them to go back tomorrow and film them with the GoPro for me…I intend to stay dry on this trip!

I happily greeted them back aboard after a few hours of peace, I actually enjoyed their noisy tales of the rainbow fish!

Best paw forward

Seriously though, I wonder how long I’d need to leave them in the water for them to develop gills…

Bisous, Bailey

  1. Meezers don’t have gills! It looks like you have the humans in good control after all! You are the captain! Monty x

  2. Think they’re more likely to resemble sponges than fish if you leave them in the water too long 😀

That is a question, dear brofur, that would require a lot of pondering. We really hope they get some film of those fish to share with you, and that you can then share with the rest of us. Enjoy your peace and quiet. It sure is gorgeous where you are. XO from your brofur and sisfurs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  7. Dude. You should have them bring one of those Pawsome dishes fur a snack! Or at least a tuna or two, since they’re already down there with them anyway! *(licks chops / tummy rumbles)*

  8. Bailey, I don’t think you’d want them to stay in the water too long – they may not be back in time to feed you!

  12. Hi, Bailey, Here I am trying the old way. I hope you receive this message, as all my previous ones have been sent in this fashion. I somehow thought I needed to write just above the blue line, and not way above it. (Anyway, you need not ruffle your fur about this silly human dilemma!)

I believe if your humans developed gills, they might not be able to provide you with the services and company that you are used to! I think they need to retain their human form, but perhaps YOU should think about LEARNING HOW TO SNORKEL!! Your pal, Patricia

  13. Gills would be fab, but think it might take quite a while to grow…

  14. I think your humans are very nice to give you time alone to do your catly things, Bailey! Just because they get a bit pruney while doing it matters not.
