Sailor salad!

Tomorrow we’re setting off for Rome… In preparation for our sailing adventure I’ve been making sure that I stay fit and even though I eat healthy Science Plan food, I’ve been wondering if I could complement my diet.

Last night I found some salad on the side. So I decided to steal sample some. I’ve heard the humans raving about how healthy salad is so I thought I’d see what the fuss was all about.

My first impression was that it’s very green- I’ve never really paid attention before!

It tastes nice, quite watery compared to what I’m used to.

It’s quite fun to play with too! When the human caught me and asked what I was doing…

I denied all knowledge!

  1. It is curious stuff, isn’t it! One of our cats goes as far as helping us clean it in the sink but wouldn’t dream of eating it 😉

  2. Hi Bailey…….I love grass but haven’t ever had a nice mixed salad before – it looks rather tasty. Did you like it? Greens are good for us you know!!! That look on your face when caught says “I’m INNOCENT until proven guilty!!!!”…………. 😀

  4. You’ve got the right idea. Deny everything, admit to nothing. I do that with my sister all the time. I believe I am always innocent. How did you like the lettuce? My mum said my older brother (now at Rainbow Bridge) loved salad, especially crunchy lettuce.

  10. My cat Puck likes to help himself to some lettuce while I am making a salad but I usually find it on the floor later. I guess it is more of a curiosity than a food for him.

Bailey you look so innocent. Too bad there are all these photos showing you playing in the salad. We’re with you; though, we’d absolutely deny any knowledge of what happened. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  16. Clearly Bailey you were concerned that the requisite food safety handling manual states salad must be put in the fridge…so in an attempt to firstly…A.Decide if it smelt off..then B.Try and place it in it’s container …you were caught by mum and dad trying to help them out before the whole operation got closed by a health inspector! As if you would dare fuel yourself on what appears to be some Rocket..and random greens! So I say Bravo Bailey for taking the Occupational Health and Safety protocol into your own paws…..or….you were just plain caught out ..;)
