Caturday Connections- Crooks

Dear furiends, welcome to this weeks installment of Caturday Connctions! This week I have the purrleasure of welcoming boat cat Crooks aboard!

Tell us a little bit about yourself Crooks…

I am a 7 year old Maine coon. My humans took me in about 6 years ago when the family I was with decided to rehome me. We had always lived in a house until about 2 years ago when my humans bought me a giant cat toy to play on and live in. I’m very happy living aboard.

What’s your favourite thing to do to?

My favorite thing to do is sit on the bow and watch boats and birds. I keep a watchful eye to ensure my humans are safe.2

Do you prefer spending time on land or on the boat?

I like the sea the best but enjoy visiting my grand humans on land from time to time, especially when it’s really hot. Only for a few days though and then I very to go home.

Do you like meeting new furiends?

I’m not a fan of making fur friends. I have a neighbor kitty I like to spy on but I prefer she keeps her distance. I love humans, especially those who pet or feed me.

Do you suffer with seasickness?

I do not get seasick, not even once. I think I was born for this life.
There was this 1 time when all these fish were jumping out of the water like crazy and I desperately wanted to get my paws on them.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen whilst sailing?

There was this 1 time when all these fish were jumping out of the water like crazy and I desperately wanted to get my paws on them.

What’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

The naughtiest thing I’ve done is jump off my boat at dock. My mom almost had a heart attack and I was quite scared.

What do you think your next big adventure in life will be?

No big adventures planned till mom retires. In the meantime we are fixing our boat up. I try to help dad when he’s in the engine room, even if he doesn’t appreciate it.

What’s the most impawtant piece of advice you would give to anyone who’s interested in sailing?

For any fellow cats interested in the boating life, just enjoy it. The sights, smells and sounds are so much fun!

Do you have a website or social media channel where we can follow your future adventures?

I currently have no media channels to follow as mom is always working but hopefully in the near future I’ll be out there.

Thank you so much for pawticipating Crooks! It’s been lovely to have you here!

Wishing you all a very Happy Caturday!

Bisous, Bailey

  4. Great interview, B. Crooks, Mom almost had a heart attack just READING that you jumped off the boat that one time. Yikes! Don’t do that anymore.

  5. It is so nice to meet Crooks! He really does seem born to live the boat life.

  6. “Crooks” is a fabulous kitty! We thought his name indicated bad behavior, but now we realize he probably likes “nooks and crannies.” Maybe he thinks it’s crooks and nannies!! Good job finding him, dear Bailey!! Pat
