Well today has been very exciting… I’ve been walking on the roof!
The humans had latched the upstairs window open a tiny bit, but I managed to open it further and I had a great time exploring the roof! I didn’t have a chance to ask the humans to take a photo because they were flapping around like silly little birds trying to get me to come back inside. They didn’t want me jumping and hurting my paw again. I think this picture of our house in the snow a few months ago is pretty and it gives you a rough idea of how much fun the roof is!
I can’t wait until it snows here again because I’ve only ever seen snow once and that was years ago, back in Nice. Apparently it’s unlikely to snow now until next winter though, so I think I’ll have to be patient.
I have got a comfy new spot on mum’s desk though. She rudely kicked me off the chair but I’m quite at home next to her on the desk!
Bisous, Bailey
Oh Bailey DO be careful! That roof isn’t a mast on a boat! Oh my!!!!! No wonder your Mama and Dad were upset!!! LOVE the bookshelves (the way they are angled) and your cozy little pillow………so comfy! catchatwithcarenandcody

Bailey!!! No more roof walking and scaring your Mom and Dad! You have a beautiful place INSIDE to explore so stick to that! You look quite comfy on your cushion on your Mom’s desk!

You must be very careful in not getting out in a new place, you never know what is out there that could hurt you. Time for your harness and lead!
Beautiful house, enjoy and staysafe,

Walking on the roof? Bailey what were you thinking, If you fall off, you won’t land in water and could really get hurt! I think that cozy spot on your mom’s desk is a much better place to explore.

Well, that sounds like a giant adventure, but then you’ve always been an adventurous and inquisitive cat. So happy to find out that photo was taken sometime ago. So many of our northern neighbors are getting lots of cold and snow. We feel really sorry for them. How are you liking all the space in your new house? Love that beddie. It looks super comfy. Sending love to you, Mom Lou ad Dad James. Mom says she’d love to sit down and have a glass of wine with Mom Lou and hopes that opportunity will come in the future. Of course an adventure cat like you would find your way to the roof, B. Take care out there, though. Roofs can be slippery. I LOVE your desk bed. It’s a beauty.
Love and licks,

Oh my CAT you didn’t?!?!?! Your Mum has better get some of that cat safe wire netting stuff you can have made into a sort of window size fitment. You can smell the air but not get out!

How cool ! But better explore the roof when there is no snow nor rain because it’s slippery ! Purrs

Be careful on land there are many dangers outside the home. Those shelves in the back look like they would be fun for you to climb, Maybe you could knock a couple books off while you climb

Bailey, what an adventure climbing on the roof. But we think staying inside on your cozy bed is a better way to go.

Bailey, you are very lucky the roof was not made of HOT TIN! My goodness you don’t waste any time exploring. Please be careful on your next venture. Pat

Running around on the roof sounds like fun 🙂
We think that pillow looks comfy, so it is OK that you god booted off the chair.
This way, you will be closer to your mom 😉
Still, she could have asked nicely.

We had a neighbor once whose cats walked on our roof. They found the low point on the roof of a garage attachment and jumped from the top rail of the other neighbor’s privacy fence. (That’s how they got off as well.) The cats knew not to jump down to the ground after their roof excursion.

You got kicked off the chair?! Hah! That would never happen here – my human just has to squeeze in. I’ve never seen snow at all – maybe I will this upcoming winter. Who knows?

Oh Lovely Bailey, it is not easy life on the land! You are used to live in the boat/in the sea life, but be careful, be careful. Your humans should make barrier for the windows and also for the doors… I am glad nothing happened seriously but it doesn’t mean that you can try again. The house is so beautiful, have a nice and enjoyable days there, Thank you, Love, nia

We’re sure the view from the roof was awesome! Some kitties (ahem!) will try to jump from anywhere and your humans had reason to be concerned. We think you should stick to climbing inside the house. Maybe you can do a little climbing when out on your leash 😉
