Turtles and washing!

I’m so happy to tell you that I’ve already made new friends here in Kefalonia! There are lots of beautiful turtles swimming around the boats here! My humans and I were amazed at how big they are!

Turtle in Greece

Today we’ve been busy washing down the decks and getting everything put away. We took a wave over the bow whilst the hatch was cracked open and the bed was drenched in sea water, so that’s all had to be stripped and washed too. The humans are fussy and didn’t want to sleep in a salty bed… I think they should’ve just to learn their lesson! I’ve enjoyed having the foam up airing though, it makes a purrfect den in behind it.

Nocturne looks great tied up to the wall and we have two anchors set off the stern. I’ve managed to hop down onto the dock once already just to prove to the humans that I’m faster than they are. I didn’t like the noise of the road though, so I hopped back up straight away. Unfortunately my stunt has meant I’ve been on my lead this afternoon whist the companionway has been open and I’ve been outside.

I got my revenge by cuddling up on the charts!

Tomorrow we’ll head out of the bay and explore a little bit before spending a night on anchor. Then, on Monday, we’ll be going into a disused marina just opposite, on the other side of the bay so mum and I can be very secure whilst dad goes back to Rome for a week of work. The humans walked across to check it out today and apparently there’s lots of stray cats there walking all over the boats, so it will be interesting.

I think we’re going to have a pawesome week here!

Happy Caturday to you all!

Bisous, Bailey

Those turtles do look like they would be fun to watch. Just don’t jump in there with them. They might nip your tail. he he Sounds like you’ll have lots of adventures this coming week with your Dad away.
