One of the best things about our night passage when we left Rome on our journey south was how peaceful and tranquil it was. The air was much cooler than the marina and although there was barely a breath of wind (meaning we had to motor) the sea was flat calm and we glided through the water.
The absolute best thing, however, was when I woke up at about 6am to take my turn doing a watch and I found this little guy had sacrificed himself for my breakfast!
It was so much fun playing with it but I must admit I didn’t eat it! I have too many fishy furiends… it wouldn’t feel right. So we gave him a sea burial.
Happy Caturday Furiends!
Bisous, Bailey
That was sweet of you 🙂

Was he a flying fish with the big fins? Some times when we are off shore of St Augustine we see those little guys go sailing over the water!

Silly fish ! We’re glad you had fun playing with him, and it was very generous to return him to the big sea for a last swim. Purrs

Playing with your food happens sometimes. You’re a good friend not to eat him, after all.
