Everything happens for a reason.

Today was the day we were supposed to be taking ownership of the boat we were in the middle of purchasing. As most of you know it didn’t work out and left all three of us feeling pretty bad. I wrote all about it here.

Today however, we’re not moping around we’re busy working on Nocturne’s traveler (quite a big ongoing project) and mum is converting a space that is currently a dumping ground for clothes, into her much desired office space. Although we don’t have a bigger boat yet, we’re making our beloved Nocturne bigger for now by getting rid of lots of ‘stuff’ that we don’t use or need. It’s actually really fun! Yesterday we purged nearly half of the things that we had shoved in the wardrobe and now when we open the door I can quickly and easily sneak in!

I’m confident that everything happens for a reason and the new bigger boat that we eventually find will be purrfect for us. In the meantime we’re all enjoying giving Nocturne some well deserved love and attention.

Planning

Bisous, Bailey

  1. it’s true that there is a reason behind all things, even when we are sad sometimes… I wish you the best oat ever, the one what’s perfect for you and what’s ready to discover all 7 seas with you :o)

  5. My Mom is ALWAYS saying “everything happens for a reason” and she ESPECIALLY says it when something bad happens to her or something we wanted to happen doesn’t. Life puts us on a course that allows us to learn along the way………no matter what! Have fun “purging” the closet!

  6. We’re sad to hear the boat you loved wasn’t “the one” after all. Clearing clutter is always good! I should do some, too 🙂

You are a very philosophical kitty, dearest brofur. It’s always good to be able to adapt when life throws you a curve ball. And sprucing up Nocturne for yourselves will help when you do find a new boat and want to sell your beloved “Noccy.” Sending purrs and love to all. 9. Oh yes, I’m sure there’s a reason that other boat didn’t work out – and something much better will come along!

  10. Closet purging is Mom’s favorite housework activity. The problem is, she does it so often that there’s nothing left to purge!

  11. When you’ve finished purging Noccy”s hoard come on down and help me purge my fabric hoard. Your new home will come, I’,ve been through that even to the extent of successful inspection and paying deposit. Then the sea trials made me realise she was far too heavy a boat for me to moor. So we opted out and three months later we found our perfect match!

  14. Dear Bailey, this is a wonderful time to “regroup” and help your humans take stock of what they’d like in their next boat. Of course, YOUR INPUT is also impawtant, but you seem to be so adaptable and flexible, I’m sure this is a great comfort to them while they PLAN FOR YOUR FUTURE!! Pat

Do you need more space so you can bring your girlfriend on board? Or are the humans planning on getting one of those smelly woofers or having little people on the boat?

Your Tayana sounds very nice are the humans looking at a 52 or so foot Tayana or Hans Christian? I have heard that the beautiful teak is slippery for paws and that humans spend lots of time making it more slippery.
