Tayana Twins!

It was very exciting when we realised there was another Tayana 37 here in Rome furiends. It spent the winter on the hard next to our furiends John and Bobbie’s boat Quickbeam. Her name is Sea Star II and like Nocturne she’s beautiful. Once she’d splashed she came and spent a night here in the marina next but one to us!

Tayana Twins

Look at those beautiful curvy bows! The humans had the pleasure of meeting her Captain, Paul, and having a quick tour aboard. There are no two Tayanas built the same, so they were really interested to see her inside. They were amazed by how different yet ‘the same’ she is. The layout on Sea Star II is very different to Nocturne, but it’s very clear she’s a Tayana 37. Unfortunately Paul was heading off quickly after a short time in the marina so we waved them fair well.

The Tayanas don’t go astern very well and it was a particularity windy day, so Sea Star II had a helping push from the marina guys to help her get her bow around the right way.

Breezy on the bow!

Piroette

Then she was on her merry way!

Sea Star II

Paul has a website for Sea Star II that you might like to look at here. I loved looking across at the beauty of another Tayana from the comfort of my own! It was really pawesome to see another one as they are very few and far between here in the Med. I wish them fair winds and fishy feasts!

Bisous, Bailey

  2. Great looking boat, but you didn’t mention any furry crew members. That gives YOUR Tayana a huge advantage for navigating purposes!! Pat
