Excited about spring!

Happy Spring furiends! I’m so excited about the change in seasons because it means we’re closer to our sailing season! I think my daffodils know it’s spring too because they’ve bloomed beautifully over the last two days!

Daffodils

You might also notice how lovely my cockpit is looking now that the varnishing is underway. It’s only had three coats so far and will have another eight, but doesn’t it look great?

Flower power selfie!

It’s very blustery here today unfortunately, so apart from my daffodils it doesn’t really look like spring yet! What does spring look like where you are?

  1. A miniature garden on a boat! Beautiful!

Western Oregon is having an unusually warm and dry winter this year. Not one flake of snow here this year, so far. Daffodils started blooming earlier in January than usual.

  3. Beautiful flowers, I enjoy seeing them. Spring here so far has been snow & ice storms. Not very nice. the snowdrops were out in early February but are buried again right now. Supposed to warm up to 40’s later this week – I can’t wait!

Dear brofur, Spring looks very far away. Normally we would have some blooming starting from all mom’s bulbs, but most are still buried under snow! This, of course, makes her very sad. Eleven coats of varnish! That sure sounds like lots of work. Bet you are happy you only have to act as the snoopervisor. Sending lots of love to all. XOCK from your brofur and sisters, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  6. Revarnishing takes a long time but it certainly “smartens” up things doesn’t it? So do the “daffies” – they make me smile!

  8. Nice daffodils. Snow is blowing around out here so no it doesn’t look like Spring. Please visit us for a Dr. Seuss themed giveaway.

  9. It looks pretty much like spring here at the moment, Bailey! But then it gets dark and rainy. The weather is a little nutty here at the moment.

  11. No Spring here. Michigan is cold and damp, with more snow and ice on the way. Maybe in a couple of weeks, we’ll see some warming.

  14. There is no spring where I am. There is more than 12 inches of snow still on the ground and more coming.

  15. Bailey, Spring is never going to come to Maryland this year. We had freezing rain yesterday, and are expecting more snow and sleet off and on for the rest of the week!! Here’s what we look like. Your daffodils are beautiful! Thanks for sharing some Spring with us. Pat

  16. Hi Bailey,

Spring looks like more snow here in Minneapolis, I’m afraid. I would try to send you a picture of our two Maine coons, Teaky and Mollie, in the snow, but historically, I have been very unsuccessful in getting such pictures. 🙂
