Longing for a gennaker!

The last time we went out sailing we used a gennaker on board for the first time. We have a spinnaker on board but it’s huge and it takes a lot of work managing it. So the humans borrowed a furiends gennaker to try and we loved it! It’s purrfect for the sailing conditions here in the Mediterranean with lots of light airs. I think we should get one with Bailey Boat Cat written on it… Wouldn’t that be pawesome?!

Unfortunately there’s no sailing today because the weather looks like this…

BUT there’s plenty of fun to be had with the competition to win a copy of my book. There’s some excellent photo entries over on my Facebook page. Make sure if you’ve entered you ask all of you furiends to vote for you because it’s already shaping up to be a tough competition! There’s still plenty of time to enter and the two photos with the most likes will win.

There’s also a Rafflecopter that you can enter which gives you the chance to win too. It’s very easy to enter just click on the link here: a Rafflecopter giveaway

Happy Caturday evfurryone!

Bisous Bailey

  1. Bailey, we totally agree that you need one of those gennaker thingies with your photo with your book. After all, you are the biggest celebrity on the water. Still wondering if we can send you a photo by e-mail for you to post on FB for us? Love and hugs from your brofur and sisfurs and best wishes for a blessed Easter, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. I’d love to win a book! I’m landlocked and have never sailed on a boat. I’d love to learn about it from a cat!

  3. Interesting sail design Bailey! I sailed every weekend as a kid, never heard of this kind of sail but it wasn’t around then I guess. Happy sails!

  4. Bailey, you had my human looking up gennaker and spinnaker on Google images – I think she learned something today! I will have to go check out the photos on your Facebook page – I bet there are some awesome entries!

  5. Oh you should definitely get a gennaker with YOUR name on it for the boat! We’ve been keeping an eye on all the photos on your FB page – and voting……some GREAT photos!!!

    Hugs, Sammy

  6. You look good with a gennaker. You’d look good with a spinnaker, too, but it needs to be on a very broad reach or a run to be comfortable!

  7. Purrrrty colour sail! I have got a bright pink spinnaker. Love it!

  1. […] had our gennaker and our mainsail up. (Some of you may remember we were longing for a gennaker but it turned out, what the silly humans thought was a spinnaker that they’d never taken out […]

I'd love to hear what you think....
