Simplifying is surprisingly complicated!

It looks like a pride of wild cats has run through our flat and torn it apart! We are in the ‘sorting’ stage of our move. With just over a month until mum and I leave the flat and join dad full-time on the boat it’s all stations go!

We’re having to downsize a fair bit obviously, so there’s lots of piles of things everywhere.

We have a pile of must keep items. (Where I’m confident most of my things will end up!)

A pile of: would like to keep, but not used or worn for a long time, perhaps it’s time to say goodbye items.

Then there’s the: why have we been dusting and scenting this forever pile.

We also have the rubbish pile which is alarmingly growing into a mini monster.

And finally the donate pile, which I’m sad to say will include my cat tree, but I’m sure we can find some worthy cats that will love it as much as I do!

I’m tired after such a busy day!

  1. Good Luck with all the sorting Bailey. You and your mom will find some Kitty in need for your kitty tree. For now it looks like a nice place to take a long well deserved nap.

  4. There are so many good napping places on board your boat that I doubt you’ll even miss your cat tree. Your pictures show you napping in some really neat places on Nocturne. Good luck with the packing and downsizing.

  7. What a bummer that you have to lose your cat tree, Bailey! But yeah, I guess it won’t fit on a boat.

  9. We absolutely cannot believe how much work this is for you. We live in a three story house with a full basement. We probably have too much stuff in just one room to get on Nocturne. But then, no human in their right mind would live on a boat with eight cats! MOL. We hate that you won’t have your cat tree but know some very deserving cat will enjoy it. I can not imagine the job of downsizing as you have to do!! I’m a bit of a pack rat, so it would be even harder for me. It will be worth it in the end, getting to live on the Nocturne full time. Wow!!

  15. Too bad about the cat tree, but perhaps they make a boat-sized one.
