Too tired for treats?

When the humans don’t have to go to the mystery place they call work they can be quite difficult to wake up. Both my humans seem to be decidedly more feline than I am enjoying extremely long cat naps curled up in our comfy vee-berth.

I’ve had to come with creative ways to wake them up and get their attention!

Hello! Rise and shine! It’s a cloudy but otherwise beautiful day!

Once they’re finally up it can take some time for them to get going. Usually we manage to communicate very well, but when the humans are in their half asleep state they can be very difficult. I know exactly where my treats are kept and can quite clearly demonstrate that I would like need some. But when my humans eventually catch on I’ve had to exhaust myself in the process!

You see if they don’t understand my point when I’m clearly showing them what I would like I’ve hatched the perfect plan to get some. All I have to do is jump off Nocturne and run off down the pontoon. Or I simply jump onto a neighbours boat…

This means that when they realise I’ve got off the boat they will come out shaking my treats. They know that my treats are my weakness. Whatever I’m doing wherever I am, I always come back for treats!

In this case though they don’t know that I’ve done it on purpose! It can be quite tiring trying to pull it off but let’s be honest… You can never be too tired for treats!

I hope you all get great weekend treats too!

Bisous Bailey

  1. Great shots. Love your pictures.

  2. Ha ha – clever chap!

  3. Oh Bailey – you’ve come up with some excellent tactics in order to get your humans UP and able to give you those treats! I can hear the treat bag shaking wherever I am in the house and I’m there in a split second! I’d much rather be on board a beautiful sailboat receiving them though like you!! 😀

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

  4. Such a happy boat cat!

  5. A cat after my own heart. I’d do ANYTHING for a dog cookie!

  6. So cute…love the perspective of the first shot. A cats view of things~

  7. That’s the same trick our humans use with us. But like you, Bailey, it’s us really tricking them to haul out the treats when we won’t come in off the catio at bed time. Have a great weekend. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on Head, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette. 8. My roommate Binga is so desperate for treats, she will even jump through a hoop to get them! I think your tactic is a lot smarter, since you are getting your humans to do as much work as you!

  9. You deserve those treats Bailey 🙂

  10. Mmmmm treats! My friend Zeus loves his treats too. 🙂

  11. 😉 You iz a bery bery clever Kitteh!!! Me Mum waz freakin out lookin at ya on da other boat!! She den gave me da stink eye n said, “Dontcha ever try to get outta da Condo again Miss Sweet Feet!”

  12. I think those humans need a bit of catnip to wake them up 😉
