Dinghy devil!

Far too often for my liking we pick up an uninvited hitchhiker. This particular hitchhiker is otherwise known as…

… the dinghy devil!

I really don’t like the dinghy devil because he is always rude, he makes loud cawing noises, he frightens away the small, pretty birds and scares my friends the fish away. Not to mention the fact that he acts like he owns my dinghy! I asked him politely to leave and he just thrust his head in the air as if he hadn’t even heard me.

After a bit of deliberation as to the best way to deal with the situation, I pulled in the painter line (the tow rope we use to keep the dingy attached to Nocturne). Suddenly the devil thought better of his evil ways and flew away.

Once I’d verified that the dinghy was safe and devil free I enjoyed a very relaxing evening. Until the next time dinghy devil!

  7. I think that dinghy devil is just enjoying life at sea like you are Bailey! However, in addition to his other irritating habits I bet he also leaves dinghy devil poop on your dinghy which I’m SURE is as unwanted as his visits are!

  9. Those “dinghy devils” are annoying – even to us here on land! They steal the bread that my Mommy’s giving to the swans!
Good thing you’re on watch for them, Bailey.

  10. Bailey, that Dinghy devil thinks he’s the mayor of the sea, but you really got him there. I have a dinghy devil as a friend. He thinks he’s the mayor or our shed, but, guess what..he thinks! Pawkiss 🙂

  17. Nice post, I can remeber when I worked on boats, we had to do work on boats that were moored. For some reason the gulls would pick certain to hang out on and really made a mess. It was tricky getting on the boat and walking around for the decks were slippery and the goal was not to fall on your butt and get it all over you.
