A little cycle to the port.

Mum went for a long cycle this afternoon after work because the weather’s been so good. I didn’t think much of it until she showed me the photos afterwards….

The bikes have baskets!

Now that looks like a boat cat spot to me! Mum disagrees because she thinks that even with a harness on, I would try and jump out and she says it’s too dangerous. Pfft what does she know? I would be very well behaved if I was given the chance. I was really behaved when we went to the beach!

It looks so pretty, and it must be nice to feel a breeze through your fur as you cycle along. I love it when the wind ruffles my fur when we’re sailing.

Then mum strolled around the port, without ME! I’m quite offended, the photos are nice but they don’t make up for the fact I didn’t get to go!

I’m going to have to work on a plan to convince the humans… I’m hoping dad will be on my side!

  2. Mom said that when she was a little girl she used to ride all over with her cat in her bike basket. The kitty had a leash and harness attached so she couldn’t run away but she liked riding in there.

  4. You poor boy, Bailey. We cannot imagine Mom leaving you behind. We know that you would be the perfect basket passenger. Good luck convincing your dad. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  6. Maybe your humans could get another basket to put over top of that basket to help keep you safe…seems like your parents are crafty people. I bet they can come up with something. Kisses, Zoey

  7. Poor Bailey…..your Mom just needs a nice covered basket with lots of peep holes for you and the two of you could have some WONDERFUL cruises on that bike! On the other hand, I bet you give Daddy some “sad eyes” and he might take up your cause for you….. 😀

Maybe you coould get you humans to make a wire cage for around the basket. That way you will be protected. It would be like the roll cages they use in race cars. The cage would open on one side with a latch for you to get in and out. a pair of sunglasses will keep the dirt out of your eyes too.
