Cleaning the bottom of the dinghy

I’m happy to hear that my dinghy has been cleaned this morning! Mum and dad motored around to our good friend Captain Tony’s boat and used the crane to hoist it out of the water.

It wasn’t as bad as last time, but there was still a fair bit of algae and slime on the bottom. So the humans got out the pressure washer and set to it!

It comes off fairly easily with the pressure washer. Mum enjoyed watching dad working hard!

She did a little bit too but it’s quite heavy and she’s a wimp! So dad did most of it. To finish it off dad used a scraper to get the stubborn little barnacles.

So now Nocturne’s family car will be nice and nippy because it’s all clean. Thank you very much Captain Tony for letting us use the crane! Meow!

  4. The amount of algae is impressive! I first hoped it was catnip… but no :-/

That’s the funniest ‘car wash’ I ever saw!!

  8. It’s not all fun and games on a boat. :) Someone has to work sometimes.
